It's not always easy to believe that the person you have become entangled with is a narcissist (someone who meets the criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, DSM–5).
Narcissists present themselves superficially in many different ways - and on the surface, no two narcissists will ever look exactly the same, even though the personlity disorder that lies at the heart of their behaviour is the same.
