Manipulation

Manipulation is wired into narcissists’ brain circuitry at an early age - not only have they learnt it from their parents, but they have used it all their lives as a defence against feeling their own pain and to get their needs met. Contrary to what some victims believe, most narcissists do not spend days planning how they will manipulate others. It is completely natural and effortless. The ease with which such tactics are deployed in combination with the believability of the narcissist make a narcissist’s manipulations dangerously effective.
